All of the smoke in the air from the fires brought to mind this photo- Railroad Ave. on fire from Gowe St. to Titus St. on July 3, 1914. What a scary sight that would’ve been!
The Calhoun Family of Kent having a blast at the beach! (The women are Inez & Mary)
A group of people are walking down 256th St. in 1947 (edit: probably earlier, c.1900) during what may have been Sogne Lagnet, a Norwegian picnic. The photo is looking east from the intersection of 124th Ave SE & 256th St.(edit: probably 240th instead) in Kent. The farm in the back ground belonged to Pete Berg and the first woman in the line is Clara Oliver.
The Cornucopia Day Parade King Mark Albertson and Queen Elizabeth Albertson!
Thank you for driving our Royalty in your beautiful convertible Marion & John Veer!!
This photo brings forth so many questions. What play were they putting on, if any? Why were the masks so creepy? It was labeled “4th of July Picnic at Dynamite Shack Park”. Where was Dynamite Shack Park?! Every time you look at this, you’ll see another strange element. Can anyone out there shed some light on this Kent Photo?
