Leo Milden was the foreman for the White River Packing Company, which was owned by Ernest K. Saito. Mr. Saito and family lived in the Bereiter House until Executive Order 9066. Many Japanese and Japanese-American farmers and warehouseman conducted business with the White River Packing Co. Mr. Milden maintained his connections with his colleagues and neighbors; many wrote to him from detention centers and internment camps. Please feel free to read these letters and transcriptions.
