The Greater Kent Historical Society is excited to offer three scholarships for $2,000 for post-high school education or training! These scholarships provide support for students active in contributing to the Kent community to further their education.
Applicants must be graduating seniors from any Kent high school, public or private, or seniors with a Kent mailing address.
Applications have been extended until April 30, 2024. If you have questions, please contact the museum at admin@kenthistoricalmuseum.org or at (253) 854-4330.
This scholarship was created in memory of the late Harold Vickrey, through the generosity of Jamie and Svetlana Vickrey and community members of Kent. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who believes in the value of family-owned businesses and who demonstrates a commitment to community service.
The Japanese American Memorial Scholarship was created through the generosity of community members of Kent. The scholarship will be awarded to a student studying in any field, with a focus on social justice.
The William and Pauline Scott Memorial Scholarship was created through the generosity of community members of Kent. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who believes in the value and contribution of the entrepreneurial spirit, minority- and women-owned businesses, and demonstrates a commitment to community service.

Applications will be rated based upon the following criteria. Successful applicants do not have to demonstrate all the indicators below but should strive to convey their strengths in each area.
